High School Cafeteria Expectations

Lunch is a time to recharge, connect, and show responsibility as a WSPA Phoenix.

High school students may use cell phones and headphones in the cafeteria only.

Cell phones and headphones are not allowed in hallways, bathrooms, stairwells, or while transitioning to lunch.

Use the restroom before going to lunch. Students may use only the bathroom on the same floor as their 3rd-block class.

Students who want to go to the media center during lunch must first report to the cafeteria and then be escorted by a staff member.

Students may eat in the courtyard only when the weather is appropriate and a staff member is on duty.

Keep voices low so classes on the ground floor are not disturbed.

Clean up your area before leaving. Throw away all trash and leave the cafeteria or courtyard better than you found it.

Students may not enter the building until the end of the lunch period.

Handle restroom breaks before lunch begins.
Move through the hallways without phones or headphones out.
Follow staff directions the first time.
Use lunch as a reset so you are ready for the rest of the day.
Respect the cafeteria, courtyard, media center, and everyone sharing those spaces.

High school lunch gives students more independence, and independence comes with responsibility.
